Location: On Highway 4, about 15 minutes or 16 km east of Port Alberni  and  30 km West of Parksville. The highway bisects MacMillan Park (or Cathedral Grove) and lies on the western shore of Cameron Lake.

Description: Macmillan Provincial Park is one of the most popular parks in British Columbia. It is the home of Cathedral Grove, one of the most famous groves of large trees in the world.

Although a wind storm substantially damaged the grove in 1997, it remains a fine example of northern temperate old growth forest. There are several walking trails through the park. All are very flat and easy to move around on.

There is a small parking lot on each side of the highway that is very congested at times, especially in the summer. Please use caution when entering or leaving the parking area.

Apart from a poorly maintained outhouse, there are no other facilities in the park. It is intended for day use only.
